‘American Idol’ Season 9 Winner, Lee DeWyze, Visits Disney World

American Idol finalist Lee DeWyze defeated fellow contestant Crystal Bowersox in last Wednesday's results finale to become the winner of the reality competition series’ ninth season. According to MTV.com, DeWyze continues to make his rounds of in-person appearances and television talk show interviews that he will be involved in by paying a visit to Lake Buena Vista, Florida’s Walt Disney World Resort.

The American Idol winner was spotted hanging out with Mickey and Minnie Mouse as a special celebrated guest at the American Idol Experience, which is one of the most popular attractions at the legendary theme park. It allows those who visit the resort to perform renditions of popular songs, audition for the competition and receive critiques from virtual judges at the conclusion of their performance.

Reportedly, a massive crowd was present for DeWyze’s Disney World appearance on Tuesday, which illustrates the overwhelming popularity that he has managed to generate for himself over the past several weeks. The season nine winner of American Idol appeared on CNN’s Larry King Live on Monday night along with all of the other top 10 contestants from the competition for a live interview.

DeWyze stated his belief that American Idol host Ryan Seacrest is an invaluable commodity for the show’s success. He told King, “What he does is he brings everything to the show. He brings humor. He brings the level of suspense that we all get. He’s just been doing it for so long, he’s a pro at it. To replace him would be impossible.”
