‘Cougar Town’ Recap: You Don’t Have to Be a Cougar to Love This Show
One of ABC’s newest hit comedies, Cougar Town, was as funny tonight as it is every Wednesday. This week’s episode followed Jules (Courteney Cox) and Ellie (Christa Miller) going through typical best friend issues—Jules was too focused on herself and Ellie felt left out.
While Jules and Ellie were dealing with their issues, Jules’s ex-husband, Bobby (Brian Van Holt), was also dealing with an issue - he is still in love with Jules but she told him it was over, forever. To deal with this, he goes on a drinking binge with Andy (Ian Gomez) and Grayson (Josh Hopkins). Throughout their wild nights out, there was a photomontage, similar to a more appropriate version of the photos at the end of The Hangover, while the song, “The Boys Are Back in Town” was playing.
Cougar Town generally makes jokes about Jules’s age, such as when she was trying to act 20, even though she is 40, and to prove it she started to attempt to talk like a young person, saying things like, “Chillax, tweet, Rihanna.”
Cougar Town airs Wednesday nights at 9:30pm on ABC.
