‘Juno’ Writer, Cody, Gives Birth to Baby Boy

The Academy Award-winning screenwriter had her first child Tuesday

Screenwriter Diablo Cody wrote about it in her Oscar-winning screenplay, 2007’s Juno, and now it’s happened for her in real life. The former stripper and current screenwriter gave birth to her first child on Tuesday, reports MSNBC.

"We had our boy early this morning! Marcello Daniel Maurio, 7lbs, 2 oz, lightly mustachioed," Cody tweeted Tuesday evening.

Cody, whose real name is Brook Busey, previously announced in April that she was expecting, also via Twitter. The father of the baby is her husband, Dan Maurio, whom she married last year. No further details have been made available regarding the new addition.

Other than Juno, Cody has written, and is in the process of writing, several other movies, including 2009’s Megan Fox-starring Jennifer’s Body, and a film adaptation of the Sweet Valley High book series.

She also writes a television series for Showtime called United States of Tara, which just wrapped its second season.
