‘Southland’ actor to draw ‘’True Blood’
Kevin Alejandro, who plays Detective Nate Moretta on the drama, “Southland,” will be joining the cast of HBO’s “True Blood.”
According to an article on HollywoodReporter.com, “Alejandro, expected to appear in almost every episode of the HBO series' upcoming third season, will play Jesus, a Latino orderly who is taking care of Ruby Jean Reynolds (Alfre Woodard) at her care facility and becomes involved with her son, Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis).”
“Southland” fans need not worry, Alejandro will continue to be a regular on the show, which recently moved from NBC to TNT.
The HollywoodReporter.com article then explains that, “Because of the cable network's plan to air the 13 produced episodes of the cop drama, starting Jan. 12, before making a decision whether to order a second season, Alejandro can accommodate ‘Blood’ while keeping his obligation to ‘Southland.’”
Alejandro is no stranger to the small screen. He has co-starred on such shows as the CBS legal drama "Shark," Fox’s action drama "Drive," ABC’s "Ugly Betty" and recently had a recurring role on the Showtime dramedy “Weeds.”
“True Blood” will adding other new members besides Alejandro to its coven including Tony Award-winning actor Denis O'Hare, Marshall Allman, who starred on the Fox drama “Prison Break,” Joe Manganiello, who appeared as Flash Thompson in both “Spider-Man” and “Spider-Man 3” and Grant Bowler, who starred on several episodes of ABC’s “Lost.”
