‘Vampire Diaries’ Cast Talks Season 2

At Comic-Con earlier this weekend, the crew of the CW’s Vampire Diaries revealed some upcoming news about the second season of the show.

While many questions were answered with an “I’m not going to say” or a “possibly,” executive producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec did give away a few spoilers. A teaser was shown of the season 2 premiere, which had finished shooting the day before.

In regards to future plot points, Williamson said that, “Katherine and Stefan [do] come face to face [in the first episode back].” Additionally, more of Katherine’s backstory will be revealed in the upcoming season.

Williamson also noted that Jeremy will continue to be a character in the show. “He’s either going to wake up alive or he’s going to wake up dead. But he is going to wake up,” he said.

A big addition to the future season is the werewolf element. Similar to other popular vampire pop culture phenomenons such as Twilight and True Blood, the CW show will now introduce a werewolf curse among the Lockwood line.
