“Trot out the ladies!”

This season’s bachelor is Jake Pavelka, who many loyal viewers will remember from last season’s “The Bachelorette.” For Jillian Harris, Jake may have been too nice, but for 25 single women, Jake is looking pretty good.

The season begins with the 31-year-old commercial pilot from Dallas, Texas, being bombarded with 25 women at the same Malibu mansion where he first met Harris last season. The women range in age from 23 to 32, with an average age of 25.

According to “USA Today,” Jake admits that “from the get-go, it is a very rocky and dramatic season. Some of the things that happened on the show, drama-wise, floored me.” However dramatic it may have gotten, Jake also said, “I stayed true to myself from the very beginning. I didn’t necessarily do what everybody wanted me to.”

Special guests this season include “The Bachelorette” winner Ed Swiderski from last season.

The fourteenth season of ABC’s “The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love” will premiere on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 8 p.m.
