“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense.”
Disney’s new film, “Alice in Wonderland,” is set to hit conventional, 3D, and IMAX 3D theaters on March 5, 2010.
But make no mistake; this is not the 1951 Disney version that you might be used to. Although the original movie is based on “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” (1865) and its sequel “Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There” (1871), both by Lewis Carroll, this new adaptation appears to be a third story involving the familiar characters.
In this remake of the classical stories, Alice is facing a marriage proposal and returns to Wonderland after having previously visited there as a child. She then reunites with old friends and realizes she must put a stop to the Red Queen’s reign of terror.
The film features a blend of CGI and live action and is directed by Tim Burton. The movie also includes a few well-known actors and actresses, such as Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, and Mia Wasikowska as Alice.
This will surely be one adventure that you won’t want to miss!
