1st Annual Game Show Awards Announced

The Game Show Network will present contestants, hosts and producers with honors.

If you play Jeopardy every afternoon and scout out New York streets for the Cash Cab, then get ready for the first ever Game Show Awards. The Game Show Network announced that they will hold an awards show that highlights the best of the competitive game show world, reports Us Weekly.

The two-and-a-half-hour show will give awards to contestants, hosts and individual shows. Some of the winners have already been announced. There is a sort of lifetime achievement honor being given to Bob Barker for exceptional hosting called the Legend Award. Alex Trebek will present an Innovator Award to classic game show producer, Mark Goodson.

To celebrate "Dancing With The Stars" win for Best Reality Competition Show, Cloris Leachmen will reprise her dancer role with former partner Corky Ballas. Other categories include Favorite Dating or Relationship Show, Favorite Celebrity Team, and Favorite Game Show Catch Phrase.

Howie Mandel will host the awards show, which will air Sunday, June 7 at 8 p.m. EST.
