2009 Paris Vogue Calendar Goes Retro

The new calendar is a spectacle of beauty.

One thing the new year always brings is new calendars. And the December/January edition of Paris Vogue magazine offers a special treat, a year of pinup girls.

The calendar is a special supplement to the magazine, and features 14 models in costumes. The theme is pinup girls, and the whole shoot has a very retro vibe to it.

Characters include sexy nurse, cheerleader, and kitten. And since it's Vogue, the whole thing is done in high fashion. All lingerie and shoes were designed by Louis Vuitton, and the layout of the shoots was orchestrated by Carine Roitfeld, the editor-in-chief of the Paris magazine.

The photographer is Terry Richardson, who is known as one of the most fascinating and abundant photographers in the world. He is a regular on the fashion and celebrity scene as well as having several books published.

The magazine is on newsstands now, and has limited distribution in the U.S.

You can check out the calendar here, but be warned, it is mildly not safe for work.
