While NBC, the NFL and the FCC weren’t too pleased with M.I.A.’s Super Bowl middle finger, it seems Adele was a little inspired.

The Los Angeles Times reported the “Rolling in the Deep” singer flipped the bird at Tuesday night’s Brit Awards.

The 23-year-old was accepting her award for Best Album when her speech was cut short.

According to the New York Daily News, it wasn’t that Adele was saying too much, it’s that singer-songwriter Damon Albarn took up too much time while he was accepting his award and producers needed to make up for lost time.

"Sorry if I offended anyone, but the people in suits offended me," the Grammy-winning singer said backstage after the show.

"I wasn't swearing at the fans, but I didn't get to complete my thank-you speech!"

Adele was able to get a few sentences out before host James Corden apologized and got ready to tell her that she would have to end her speech.

"Nothing makes me prouder than coming home with six Grammys and then coming to the Brits to win Album Of The Year. I'm so, so proud to be British and to be flying the British flag and I'm so proud to be in the room with all of you,” she said.

"I'm so so sorry, and I can't believe I'm going to do this...," Corden said before Adele cut him off and told him she knew exactly what was going on.

"You're going to cut me off. Can I just say, then, goodbye and I'll see you next time round?" she asked, then raising her middle finger.

But people weren’t so offended this time around as they were with M.I.A.

Even the producers of the show apologized to Adele for the fiasco.

"We regret this happened & we send deepest apologies to Adele that her big moment was cut short tonight due to the live show over-running,” they tweeted. "We don't want this to undermine her incredible achievement in winning her incredible award. It tops off what's been an incredible year for her."

Lesson learned, don’t mess with Adele.
