On Sunday's season finale of Downton Abbey, Lady Mary finally reveals the scandal that is keeping her engaged to the vile Sir Richard Carlisle. While enjoying the pleasurable company of a Turkish ambassador in her bed, he falls down dead.
Upon hearing the news, daddy Robert, Earl of Grantham doesn't shun his eldest daughter, but gives her some good advice.
"I want a good man for you," Robert says. "A brave man. Find a cowboy in the Middle West and bring him back to shake us up a bit."
Who wants to be that brave cowboy? David Boreanaz wouldn't mind having a go at it.
The former vampire turned FBI agent tweeted Monday that he'd love a guest spot on the show.
I'd like to be that American cowboy who shakes things up at Downton Abbey. I'm open for a visit Mr Fellowes. #ITV @masterpiecepbs

Don't count yourself out just yet David. With Shirley MacLaine signing on in January to play Lady Grantham's (Elizabeth McGovern) American mother, the series may have room for one more American still.
The show has become a sensation even among the Hollywood set. Even Prince William and Duchess Catherine are huge fans of the show. With Lady Mary and Cousin (and heir) Matthew settled in their slightly strange romance, it remains to be be seen if Mary will actually go to America. We hope she will if only to bring in a little across the pond flavor. Here's hoping for a few good men from America!
