Demi Lovato announces her MTV special 'Stay Strong'

Demi Lovato has agreed to document her recovery process on an MTV special titled Stay Strong. The special will give fans an inside view of what her life has been like while recovering.

MTV announced that Demi will talk about her most private moments during the past year. The special will show how Demi confronted her problems while moving forward in her career.

“I wanted to share my story but I knew it had to be honest, it had to be real,” Demi said. “I have daily challenges but so do many kids who are struggling to feel comfortable in their own skin. If opening up and sharing my story inspires even one person to stay strong or to get the help they need, I’ve succeeded.”

Demi announced her MTV special on Twitter. She posted a picture of her wrist tattoo that says, “stay strong.”

“Lovatics – I wanted to tell you FIRST about a special I worked on with @MTV. IT premieres March 6th at 10pm!” @ddlovato tweeted.

Demi refers to her fans and supporters as Lovatics, because these are the people who she believes have been there for her the most helping her get through her difficult time.

During the special, fans will get a look at the events that caused Demi to seek treatment. The show will travel with Demi to her home in Dallas, Texas, and also to her treatment center in Illinois.
