Glee fans know that Lea Michele and Cory Monteith have electric on-screen chemistry but could this be a result of their real life romance? Reports are saying…yes! Friends of the rumored couple stated that the two are hooking up and possibly getting serious.
Michele and Monteith supposedly made a trip to the Canadian hunk’s hometown of Vancouver this past weekend. According to Us Weekly, the Glee stars spent their time sightseeing.
“They stayed in a hotel, toured Grouse Mountain and went for sushi and sake,” a source disclosed.
After their romantic getaway came to an end, Michele tweeted, “Hey everyone! Had such a relaxing weekend. Now off to bed:) Got a super early morning tomorrow! Xo.”
Known as “Finchel” on their hit comedy, Michele and Monteith have become extremely close since first stepping into the roles of Rachel Berry and Finn Hudson three years ago.
“Lea is head over heels for Cory,” a source close to the actress revealed. “Lea says it’s because she and Cory started off as good friends and then their relationship just blossomed.”
Hollywood Life claimed that Michele and Monteith started dating a few months after the actress split with boyfriend Theo Stockman in September.
“Lea feels she can be silly and totally herself in front of Cory. They also have a lot in common. Lea says what she adores most about Cory is that he is always making her laugh and reminding her not [to] sweat the small stuff,” the insider continued.
Before we get too excited, one thing must be considered. There is speculation that Michele and Monteith’s alleged romance is a stunt to increase Glee’s ratings.
Ted Casablanca from E! Online addressed the possibility of the show creating a fake relationship between the co-stars.
“Glee is already getting plenty of buzz for their crazy plot twists, but you have to admit: An on-screen-turned-off-screen couple is just the perfect thing to keep everyone talking. We're calling not BS on this relaysh but EC—for extreme caution!” he explained.
Hopefully some concrete evidence will surface soon because the anticipation is killing me! Are they or aren’t they?
