Lindsay Lohan is ready to make her big comeback…with an appearance on Saturday Night Live!
Back when Tina Fey was head writer for SNL (around the time they starred in Mean Girls together), Lohan hosted the show three times. Since then, she has publicly maintained a good relationship with the show and its executive producer, Lorne Michaels, referring to him as a mentor and father figure, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Now Lindsay is back and ready to host the show for the fourth time – the first since her career downfall. Obviously very excited about the new hosting gig, she tweeted: "SNL! I love @NBC !!!!!!!!!!!!!" The show tweeted back, "That's right: March 3rd, @lindsaylohan with musical guest Jack White!! See you then! #SNL #March3rd.”
Interestingly enough, it was Lohan who reached out to Saturday Night Live’s Lorne Michaels about hosting the show again, reports TMZ.
Lindsay is not going to be on SNL to promote a new TV show or movie. In fact, her career has been taking a backseat while she works on her personal life. Her most recent project was her nude spread in Playboy’s December issue, which was a huge success. Rumor has it that Hugh Hefner is even interested in bringing the actress back for a second spread.
Alongside musical guest Jack White, Lindsay Lohan hits the SNL stage on March 3.
