Lindsay Lohan is scheduled to host 'Saturday Night Live' in March

Lindsay Lohan will be hosting Saturday Night Live in March.

Lohan has been on a hiatus straightening out her personal life. The actress has had frequent trips to court, jail, and rehab, being the butt of many jokes on SNL and other late night shows. Nevertheless, she is excited to be hosting the show on the March 3 episode.

"SNL! I love @NBC !!!!!!!!!!!!!” Lohan tweeted..

Lohan's publicist Steve Honig also confirmed her appearance.

"Lindsay is very much looking forward to hosting SNL and working with the incredible cast, crew and writers to put on a memorable show," he said, quoted by CNN.

Lohan's probation started in 2007 after being convicted of drunk driving twice. She had several probabtion violations, missed counseling sessions, and failed drug and alcohol tests. She also has a shoplifting conviction.

Lohan lost some acting jobs due to stints in jail and court-ordered rehab.

She is set to finish her community service at a Los Angeles morgue well before her deadline of March 29.

The actress has recently posed for Playboy in a nude photo spread, being reminisent of Marilyn Monroe's nude photo that was featured in the debut issue of Playboy in 1953.

According to CBC News, this will be Lohan's fourth time hosting SNL. The last time was before her multiple arrests in 2006.

Lohan, 25, has starred in Mean Girls with SNL head writer, Tina Fey. The two are reportedly friends.

Last year, Lohan sent an objection letter to the executive producer of SNL, Lorne Michaels, after Miley Cyrus sang a song that poked fun at Lohan's criminal record.
