Fans of the students at Glendale Community College can rejoice. NBC has finally scheduled a return date for their cult hit comedy, Community. The show, which stars Joel McHale, Alison Brie and Gillian Jacobs, will return on Thursday, March 15 in its old 8:00 p.m. slot.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the unfortunate casualty of Community’s return is Parks and Recreation. Community’s return pushes 30 Rock to 8:30 p.m., pushing Parks and Recreation off the schedule and on hiatus. The Office and Up All Night will retain their 9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. slots, respectively. When Up All Night finishes its season in April, Parks and Recreation will take its place.
NBC also announced that it has scheduled three more shows that were supposed to premiere in mid-season. According to Deadline, a romantic comedy called Bent will air back-to-back for three straight weeks on Wednesdays, from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., starting on March 21. That way, it will take just three weeks for NBC to get through its entire episode order.
Another series called Best Friends Forever will begin on Wednesday, April 4 at 8:30 p.m. Betty White’s Off Their Rockers will premiere on the same day at 8:00 p.m. Fans of Whitney and Are You There, Chelsea? won’t have to worry, though, since those shows will already have finished their seasons by then.
Meanwhile, Rock Center will begin airing at 10 p.m. on Wednesdays on March 7. It will go back to 9 p.m. on April 11, when Bent has finished its run and when new episodes of Law & Order: SVU begin.
