Taylor Swift had a ‘pathetic single girls party’ on Valentine’s Day

Taylor Swift didn’t have a valentine this year, so on the day of love, she celebrated being single with a “pathetic single girls party.”

Swift, 22, appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show alongside her The Lorax co-star, Zac Efron, and talked about her Valentine’s Day.

"I actually had a pathetic single girls party. It was cool," Swift revealed. "That's actually what it was called.”

She says the name of the party wasn't meant to be offensive.

"I'm not saying that being single is pathetic," she clarified. "We've talked about this. I think it's awesome."

Swift says at her single girls party with friends, they “ate whatever we wanted and danced.” She says they even made profile cards about why they were single. Zac Efron quipped, “That's so different than what single guys do.”

While Swift was on the show, she also took the time to dispel one relationship rumor. Although she has dated the likes of Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, and Jake Gyllenhaal in the past, she’s not dating Zac Efron.

“He’s awesome, we are not a couple though,” she said. “You hear people get together when they’re shooting movies, co-stars. But not like animated co-stars. You know what I’m saying.”

“Oh my god, as we were recording our voiceovers on separate coasts we really connected,” she joked.
