Want to talk to Dina Lohan, Lindsay Lohan’s mother, on the phone? Now you can. No, really.
TMZ.com reported Tuesday that a new company called Dial-A-Star allows fans to call their favorite “Z-List” stars at a premium price. Tila Tequila commands the highest price, charging $20 per minute, while conversations with Dina Lohan and Danielle Staub from the Real Housewives of New Jersey are both set at $18 per minute. OctoMom charges $12 per minute to hear her voice, and Michael Lohan charges the lowest fee, set at $10 per minute.
Even more so-called “Z-List” celebrities are being included on this site, such as former Jersey Shore star Angelina Pivarnick, Charlie Sheen’s former escort Capri Anderson, and Hugh Hefner’s ex-fiancee, Crystal Harris.
According to the company’s website,Dial-A-Star.com: “Dial-A-Star.com is the only place you can talk directly to a TRUE celebrity! Our service is unique and offers a completely discreet one-on-one conversation with celebs. The service is completely private and anonymous.”
TMZ.com said that since Dial-A-Star launched last week, traffic on its website has exploded, with Staub banking $6,000 in calls, making her the top-earner so far. Just behind her in profits are Pivarnick and Michael Lohan, who are tied with over $3,000 each, followed by OctoMom at $1,260.
Founder Gina Rodriguez said that the celebrities who participate on this site set their own rates, according to TheHollywoodGossip.com. She said that the site should expect to enjoy continued success.
"I think recording artists will do really well," Rodriguez told The Huffington Post. "Imagine if Lady Gaga did it."
