Actress Eva Longoria has split from Eduardo Cruz after a year of dating.
"It was a mutual decision," the source according to Entertainment Today. "They are staying friends."
However, the source added that Longoria, 36, is keeping herself occupied with the impending end of her series Desperate Housewives, which is set to conclude its run this year after eight seasons on ABC.
Cruz is the younger brother of actress Penelope Cruz.
Longoria met the singer in Feb. 2011 not long after her divorce from her second husband, San Antonio Spurs player Tony Parker. The marriage ended when she discovered numerous inappropriate texts between him and their friend Erin Barry. Longoria’s first husband was actor Tyler Christopher.
“I don't know," she said in August if she was inclined to walk down the aisle again. "Ask a woman after divorce if she's gonna get married, you won't get an honest answer."
The reasons for her split from Cruz are not known, but Daily Mail reports Longoria previously said that she was not good at dating.
'I'm not very approachable,” she said. “ I'm not good with dating, I get really nervous. It's probably strange that I've never been a dater. I've been married or in a relationship, and so this is going to be, you know, scary.'
