A mural of colorful tattoos covers Hollywood badass Jesse James, but his latest ink job by his 8-year-old daughter Sunny stands out from the bunch.
RadarOnline reports that Jesse tweeted a photo of Sunny—ink gun in hand—captioned “Spending Spring Break with Dad.” The young artist, in childlike penmanship, bravely branded her name on her father’s wrist—just above the “Pay Up Sucker” tat on his palm.
In 2009, the West Coast Choppers star won full custody of his daughter from ex-wife Janine Lindemulder, who spent some time behind bars for tax evasion.
Though Sandra Bullock played a role in Sunny’s life when she was married to James, in the wake of their difficult divorce, Sunny is now cared for by her father.
Jesse James’ unconventional form of father-daughter bonding brings up questions of good parenting. Blogger Kimberly Ripley remarked in her article on the subject, “Can you imagine where her life is headed if this is what she’s doing at just 8 years old?”
On the other hand, it is unfair to judge Jesse’s parenting just because he chooses to tattoo his body and wants his daughter to be a part of that. (Although sentimentalizing his tattoos is difficult given he has a flaming one hundred dollar bill across his back.)
According to the Celebrity Tattoo Site, some of his other tattoos include a dragon, squid, bike chain, and the praying hands of Jesus Christ.
The biker split up with fiancé and fellow tattoo-lover Kat von D back in 2011, right after she had his likeness inked on her body.
