Actress Kaley Cuoco has called off her engagement to Josh "Lazie" Resnik, The Big Bang Theory star said on Thursday.
Entertainment Tonight reports that the star of the hit CBS sitcom let it slip during an interview that she is no longer engaged. ET asked Cuoco if she saw any part of Big Bang co-star Kunal Nayyar’s recent wedding and if that might give her ideas for her upcoming wedding to Resnik. She laughed, saying, “I'm not engaged anymore, so no...But in general, yes. For my future wedding, yes!”
A source confirmed the news to People, but, like Cuoco, did not go into details about what happened with the engagement.
Cuoco and Resnik, an addiction specialist, got engaged back in October 2011. Her representative told People at the time that it had been a “surprise proposal” and that they were “very happy and excited to begin planning their wedding.” They did not announce a wedding date.
Cuoco spoke to ET at The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences 21st Annual Hall of Fame, which was honoring Chuck Lorre, the co-creator of The Big Bang Theory. Lorre is known for co-creating a successful string of hit sitcoms from Dharma & Greg to Two and a Half Men. Cuoco had nothing but good things to say about Lorre, giving him credit for giving her the first starring role of her career. "He's just a genius, he has the magic touch...I think he's the funniest man in the business,” the 26-year-old actress gushed.
