Less than a week ago, Kim Kardashian was “flour-bombed” by a member of PETA while on the red carpet prior to an event.
While doing an interview, a woman, who was then called a "fan," ran up to Kardashian and threw flour on her. At the time, Kim laughed the moment off, stating to E!, “That probably is the craziest, unexpected, weird thing that's happened to me." She continues, "Like I said to my makeup artist, I wanted more powder and that's a whole lot of translucent powder right there."
Now that more information has surfaced on the attack, Khloe Kardashian-Odom has taken a stand against PETA, an organization which she once avidly supported. Not only did Khloe relinquish her support for the group, she also took to her blog to inform her fans why she has walked away from the organization.
She writes, “Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior. I’ve been a vocal supporter of PETA for a long time but I have also been very vocal about anti-bullying, so this was a huge disappointment for me.”
Khloe continues, “Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions — I personally don’t wear fur but that doesn’t mean I am going to force my views on anyone else, ESPECIALLY by violating them. I am a very proud sister right now, because Kim handled last week’s incident like a champ. She got cleaned up and was back out there in a matter of minutes.”
Kim has not pressed charges on the woman responsible for the attack, but rumors state that there has been a complaint filed.
What do you think about Khloe quitting PETA?
