First Lady Michelle Obama will appear on Nickelodeon’s 25th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards Saturday to present an award to Taylor Swift.
Obama will present Swift with this year’s Big Help Award in honor of the singer’s work helping survivors of natural disasters. Swift also works with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the St. Jude Medical Center, Habitat for Humanity and the Red Cross.
Swift recently raised over $750,000 for tornado relief victims during a concert. Obama was a recipient of the Big Help Award in 2010 for her Let’s Move! Campaign, which promotes healthier lifestyles for children.
The First Lady also appeared on the Nickelodeon series iCarly to promote her Joining Forces initiative, which supports military families.
The Awards will be hosted by actor Will Smith and will air Saturday, March 31 at 8 p.m.
Other previous winners include Justin Timberlake and Leonardo DiCaprio.
“Taylor's dedication to helping others has encouraged her fan base to do the same, and this is the very core of what The Big Help is, inspiring others through action," said Nickelodeon Group Executive Vice President, Public Affairs and Chief of Staff Marva Smalls. "We are honored that First Lady Michelle Obama, a past recipient of The Big Help Award will be presenting this formidable and inspiring artist with this much deserved honor."
