There were rumors that R&B singer Ray J had a collection of explicit photographs and sex tapes of him with the late Whitney Houston, but his representatives were quick to shoot down the reports on Wednesday.
TMZ reported that he had a large collection of material that he was hoping to sell for a load of money. According to Radar Online, the rumors originated from a report in Star magazine. A source told Star that the Houston family has “been in contact with Ray and told him they do not want any photos or videos painting her in a bad light to come out.”
Ray J’s representative Courtney Barnes told E! News that the report was a complete lie. "The despicable tabloid report released today claiming the existence of a sex tape between Ray J and Whitney Houston is not true...This story along with so many others have been released to sell magazines. There is no sex tape or explicit photos."
Sources for TMZ also stressed that Ray J, who was a friend of Houston, never took pictures or filmed anything they did together.
Ray J has made a sex tape with a celebrity in the past, though. As The Daily Mail notes, Ray J once dated Kim Kardashian and recorded a sex tape with her in 2003. The video was leaked and Kardashian quickly sued for the tape, eventually reaching a $5 million settlement in 2007. It turned into one of the most famous celebrity sex tapes ever and helped launch Kardashian into the public spotlight.
Ray J recently spoke publicly about Houston for the first time since she died on Feb. 11. "I really miss my friend, ya know, I really do. I'm still hurting,” he said at the time.
