British comedian Russell Brand is currently visiting New Orleans, but the trip is probably not going as well as planned. Brand has reportedly been named in a police report after a photographer accused him of smashing his cell phone.

TMZ reported Tuesday that photographer Timothy Jackson filed the report on Monday, claiming that the Arthur actor took his cell phone right out of his hands. Brand then threw the phone through the window of an abandoned building. Jackson says that he was just filming Brand with his iPhone, which caused Brand to get angry. Jackson cited “criminal damages” in the report.

According to Entertainmentwise, police are reportedly investigating the incident. Brand’s representative has not commented on the incident.

Brand has been in New Orleans, spending time with a mystery brunette, just months after splitting from wife Katy Perry, the Daily Mail reports. On Monday, the two were seen walking around a park, while on Sunday they were spotted riding a bike together and sharing a kiss outside of an ice cream shop. “The woman went into the ice cream shop and when she came out he gave her a kiss...They appeared very cute together, very together,” a witness told the Daily Mail.

Perry might have also moved on from Brand. The New York Post reported last week that the singer was seen with Baptiste Giabiconi, the highest-paid male model in the world. Still, Perry’s father, Keith Hudson, says that he is still friendly with Brand. "There are no hard feelings towards Russell -- I just received a text from him the other day in fact. He is a wonderful and smart guy," he told Us Weekly.

Perry and Brand separated in late December and the divorce will be finalized in June, Us Weekly reports. The two were married for just 14 months.
