The first trailer for Magic Mike has been released, featuring music from Rihanna’s hit “We Found Love,” and it opens by showing strippers Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer invade a bachelorette party in the traditional cop uniforms.
“You are the husband they never had, you are the dream boat guy that never came along,” says a voice over of Tatum teaching “The Kid” (Pettyfer). When Tatum meets a girl he’s interested in, however, (Cody Horn) it’s hard to introduce her to the lifestyle.
But the trailer shows us the glamorous side of it all, with a shirtless emcee in Matthew McConaughey, and Tatum making a lot of money in the business, The Los Angeles Times reports.
Also in the Steven Soderbergh-directed film are True Blood's Joe Manganiello, Matt Bomer and Kevin Nash.
According to The Daily Mail, the movie wouldn’t even be made if it weren’t for 21 Jump Steet star Tatum’s real life experiences. At the age of 19, the now-30-year-old worked as a stripper in Tampa, Florida, before he made it big.
When Horn asks Tatum made attracted him to stripping, he tells her “Women, money and a good time.”
