Former Saturday Night Live cast-member and late night host Jimmy Fallon is using his Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to spoof Downton Abbey in Downton Sixbey.
In the spoof, Fallon plays the Earl of NBC’s studio 6B with the help of Fred Armisen, who plays the ugly daughter Lady Hedith and Brooke Shields, who plays an American wife Lady Cora. Roots’ drummer Questlove plays the Cousin Matthew.
Carson Daly is also on-hand to help, CinemaBlend reports. When Daly gets into a balloon accident, he can no longer be Fallon’s successor.
When Fallon wraps up his show, he complains that there wasn’t any Kardashian jokes.
"I don't think we can do another Kardashian joke,” writer Bashir Salahuddin quipped. "Well, that's what his lordship has asked for!" said announcer Steve Higgins, who has a metal foot,MSNBC reports.
Salahuddin then says that the “well has run dry on Kardashian jokes.”
This isn’t the first spoof on the BBC’s Downton Abbey, as Downton Arby’s was also created, starring Matt Walsh, Richard Kind, Beth Tapper, Michael Cassady, Erin Gibson, Ingrid Haas, Jennie Pearson, Madeline Walter, Anne Gregory, Anthony Gioe and Jack Allison, Yahoo reports.
