The Kardashian family has renewed their deal with the E! network for another three years.
The deal covers the next three seasons of Keeping Up with the Kardashians as well as other reality ventures the family may go into. The entire family is covered by the deal and E! will have first dibs on any future spin-offs.
The show has been a ratings winner for the network. Its 2007 premiere drew an audience of 898,000 viewers. The sixth season averaged three million viewers each Sunday night. Its seventh season will debut May 20.
Its success has led to the spin-off shows Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, Kourtney and Kim Take New York and Khloe and Lamar. All of them continue to attract audiences as well.
The new deal will also pay the family $40 million for the next three seasons. This makes it the most lucrative contract in reality TV history.
However, there is no word if musician Kanye West will be seen in the upcoming season or in the spin-offs. He and Kim Kardashian have been reportedly dating. Her wedding and brief marriage to basketball player Kris Humphries was the focus of much attention on E! in the fall. The network had to issue a statement saying the marriage was not just for the cameras.
