Kourtney Kardashian got some criticism for highlighting her hair while pregnant, something that some say can be harmful to her unborn baby.
But the reality star, 32, who is already mom to son Mason, 2, with longtime love Scott Disick, took to her blog to defend herself on Monday.
The oldest Kardashian sister insisted she did the necessary research about it and made sure she “followed all of the guidelines from my doctor and took the proper precautions necessary.”
"I highlighted my hair, which is considered the safest form of hair color while pregnant, and not to the root, so nothing ever touched my scalp. I also used products that did not contain any ammonia,” she explained, Us Magazine reports.
The Kourtney and Kim Take New York star continued to explain, "It is also recommended to be in a well-ventilated area as well as being at least in your second trimester, and I followed both of those rules. Anyone who knows anything about me knows that I take caution in all the products I use all the time, but especially when pregnant."
As for the color, Kadashian said she’s “not sure how I feel" about it and "I would say dark probably suits me best,” but changing it up “is always fun!"
She concluded that the only products she will be using on her new hair color are “sulfate free shampoo and conditioner."
