Prince William and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge celebrated their first wedding anniversary on Sunday privately at home in Anglesey. The royal couple celebrated another wedding this weekend as well. They attended a friend’s wedding.
According to Us Weekly, the couple attended the wedding of Hannah Gillingham and Robert Carter at St. Andrews Church in Wingfield, England on Saturday. William and Kate’s walk down the aisle to their seats together was in front of some of their friends, which included Kate’s sister Pippa.
The déjà vu moment was a bit humorous as it was one day before the royal couple’s own anniversary. It was kind of like a “re-run” of their wedding, said photographer Mark Stewart.
"They sat close to the front of the church, so they had to walk down the aisle together to get there," said a source for the magazine. "It made a few people chuckle."
According to Us Weekly, friends congratulated William and Kate on their one-year anniversary, but the couple didn’t want to “take any attention away from the bride and groom."
They reportedly didn’t party too hard after the nuptials. They headed home to gear up for “a very special day at home" on Sunday.
