Actors Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are expecting their first child. The couple’s representative confirmed the happy news on Wednesday.
The couple’s rep first confirmed the pregnancy to People magazine.
The two married in 2009 and had talked about finding the time to have their first child. According to Vh1, The Dictator actress told People last year that Pratt, who stars on Parks and Recreation, wants a large family. “We would love to have kids someday. We want a family for sure. Chris wants a big family. It’s timing,” she said. “It’s so hard in this industry.”
Pratt and Faris are expecting their child in the fall.
Pratt most recently starred on the big screen in The Five-Year Engagement and is set to star in Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty. In September, he is co-starring with Channing Tatum in Ten Year. He plays Andy on NBC’s Parks and Recreation.
As for Faris, she will be seen in Sacha Baron Cohen’s The Dictator, which opens on May 18. Her next film is I Give It A Year with Simon Baker. Last year, she starred in What’s Your Number? and the third Alvin and the Chipmunks film. She rose to fame thanks to her role in the Scary Movie franchise.
Faris and Pratt met while filming 2007’s Take Me Home Tonight. In 2008, Faris finalized her divorce from Ben Indra. They had been married for four years.
