Actress Betty White said on the Today show Tuesday that she was ready for her upcoming celebrity roast.
“I'm scared about it," White initially said to Ann Curry. "I have no idea what's going to happen."
However, she changed her tone a moment later.
"Bring it on. We'll handle it the best we can. The most I'd have to do is run away from home."
At 90, White’s career is as great as ever. She currently has two TV series on the air --Betty White’s Off Their Rockers and Hot in Cleveland.
The actress also told Curry that she owes her longevity to her career, not just to health and happiness.
"I am the luckiest old broad on two feet, trust me," she said. "I love what I do. I'm blessed with good health and great energy, so what's to say 'no' to?"
Her roast will be held Wednesday at the Friar’s Club in New York.
"Those Friars may think I'm an easy mark but I have 90 years of comebacks waiting for them," White said. "This is such an honor to be roasted by the Friars Club. It will be an afternoon filled with dirty words, risqué jokes & sex talk.....and that's just what I plan on saying. I have no clue what the comedians will talk about."
Previous honorees at the annual roast include Lucille Ball, Johnny Carson, Barbra Streisand, Billy Crystal, and Quentin Tarantino.
