Beyonce advocates breast feeding, proud to be 'three to four pounds' away from pre-baby body

Beyonce was named this year’s World’s Most Beautiful Woman, but the “Crazy in Love” didn’t feel so beautiful while she was giving birth to her newborn daughter Blue Ivy Carter.

That didn’t matter, she proclaimed, as the only thing that did matter was the “miracle” that was brought to she and her husband Jay-Z.

She admitted, “After being pumped with all those fluids and gaining so much weight ... I barely recognized myself.”

"But after many hours of labor, I could care less about anything but my child. I didn't care how I looked,” she told People.

So what did she do prior to entering the hospital?

"I did have a fresh eyebrow wax," she laughed. “I got my nails done, I got my feet done, had my hair done, and I had my little lip gloss."

After welcoming her first child with her husband of four years, Beyonce said "I felt more powerful than I've ever felt in my life.” She added, "I felt connected to my body. I felt like I knew my purpose in the world."

Now that she has given birth, Beyonce has bounced back from pregnancy and has already debuted her slim post-baby body.

“I lost most of my weight from breastfeeding and I encourage women to do it; It’s just so good for the baby and good for yourself,” she said, Access Holllywood reports.

She went on to explain, “I’m proud that my waist came back so fast. I’m proud of that and happy, but that was mostly from the breastfeeding.”

After “staying away from anything delicious” and working her way up from walking to running, the singer said she is “three to four pounds” away from her pre-baby body.
