On this week’s Punk’d it was Nick Cannon pulling the pranks. Demi Lovato was one of the unsuspecting celebrities at the center of a prank, and she was convinced she was seeing ghosts.
To pull the successful prank, Nick Cannon enlisted the help of Demi’s good friends, All Time Low’s Jack Barakat and Alex Gaskarth, who convinced the “Give Your Heart A Break” singer that she was in the studio to listen to new All Time Low tracks.
According to The Daily Mail, soon enough Demi was hearing an unidentified voice speaking Spanish over the recording and being told a ghost story about an Argentinean musician who drowned in a pool that was once where the recording studio stands. With the help of Wikipedia she was convinced the story was real. Also with the help of an actress and special effects, Demi saw the “ghost of the singer.”
“What I just saw is not okay,” said Demi. “I gotta go. … I’m about to cry right now.”
Cannon had one more scare up his sleeve. The actress playing the ghost headed for Lovato, who freaked out. Cannon quickly appeared, though, to tell her she had been Punk’d.
“I'm a terrible actor, but that ghost is nuts!” tweeted Alex Gaskarth, adding, “Hehe, sorry @ddlovato, it had to be done. ;) miss you!”
He even shared a picture from after the prank.

Demi, who has a fear of ghosts, admitted she was a bit skeptical of the prank.
“I was like, ‘it’s blue… I don’t know what’s going on right now,” she said.
She warned that the prank may be the start of a prank war with Alex and Jack. “I have to get you back so bad,” she said.
