Lady Gaga will make the cross over to animation when she appears on an upcoming episode of The Simpsons.

Fans of Lady Gaga have seen the pop star make numerous surprising appearances over the years. She has arrived to the Grammy Awards in an egg and appeared on stage wearing a dress made out of meat. Her latest surprise appearance may not garner the jaw-dropping reaction that she is accustomed to receiving, but it is indeed a first for the star.

According to The Wrap, Gaga will appear on the May 20 season finale of the long-running series. The episode, entitled “Lisa Goes Gaga,” will feature some of the singer’s career milestones, such as the meat dress, the flame-shooting bra and the aerial stage acrobatics.

The Hollywood Gossip reports that in true Gaga style, she will be seen wearing 18 different outfits during the course of the show. Lady Gaga herself revealed that in the episode she plays a bit of a risqué character, not unlike herself.

“I play a bit of a slut. The apple doesn’t fall far from my artistic tree,” she said.

In the episode, Lisa Simpson has become a social outcast and is in desperate need of some cheering up. That’s where Lady Gaga comes in. Gaga reassures Lisa that it’s a good thing to be different and not just like everybody else – the same message that the singer is dedicated to sharing with her millions of fans all over the world.

The Simpsons airs on Sundays at 8/7c on Fox.
