Actor Matthew Lillard will guest-star on the upcoming fifth season of Leverage.
He will play Gabe Erickson, a corrupt businessman who has avoided jail.
The TNT drama’s fifth season is set to begin July 15. The air date for Lillard’s episode has yet to be announced.
Lillard, 42, is known for his roles in films such as Scream (1996), Scooby-Doo (2002) and The Descendants (2011). His TV credits include House and Law & Order: SVU.
Other stars set for the upcoming season include actor Cary Elwes, who will appear in the fifth season premiere. Treat Williams will also appear during the season.
The series centers on a five-person team consisting of a thief, a grifter, a hacker and a retrieval specialist, headed up by former insurance investigator Nathan Ford, played by Timothy Hutton. They use their skills to right injustices that inflict citizens.
An episode was filmed in Oregon City on Tuesday. Shooting reportedly took place on several storefronts near the Clackamas County Courthouse.
“While many shows decline in their second, third or fourth seasons, Leverage has defied the odds and continued to climb,” said TNT’s head of programming Michael Wright. “More and more viewers are discovering this weekly joy ride through wonderfully complex schemes and con games, all brought to life through smart writing, sharp directing and a terrific cast.”
