British R&B singer Rita Ora dropped by Billboard Magazine's studios to talk with a reporter about her new album. She also performed and discussed her first U.S. pop single, “How We Do (Party).”
“[Jay-Z] taught me about patience and they [Roc Nation] taught me how to find myself. I came back one day, and I swear, and I was like, 'You know what? We need to do something elsea nd we flipped it,” Ora mentions to Billboard Magazine about why the album took two years to make and working with label head Jay-Z.
The buoyant single, “How We Do (Party),” makes its debut on Billboard's Pop Songs chart at number 39 this week. While the song is originally an up-beat dance number that will surely become a song of the summer, Ora performed a stripped version of the track as a guitar accompanied her raw vocals.

"We just wanted a song that was a party anthem... It references [The Notorious] B.I.G.'s 'Party and Bullsh*t,' and obviously it's not hip-hop track, but from that hip-hop influence I just wanted to create a song where you can play at a party and it feels good,” Ora tells Billboard of the song's party message.
Ora also talked about her more R&B-laden single “R.I.P.,” which will serve as her debut in the U.K. The track was penned by rapper Drake and will also appear on her upcoming album.

"I heard it in the studio with Drake and I just said 'I need this song.' I don't really sing a song on this album unless I write it or am in the writing process cause you have to be in it and be involved so it can be you. But as soon as I heard it I was like, 'This is me so I need to have it,' Ora mentioned to Billboard about “R.I.P.”
Last month, Ora premiered the video for “How We do (Party).” She wrote on her Twitter account, “PARTY + B*LLSHIT VIDEO OUT!!!! GO LOOK!” The video features Ora partying and dancing with a diverse group of people
