Russell Brand 'unfollows' Katy Perry on Twitter

After filing for divorce back in December, the shortly lived romance of Katy Perry and Russell Brand is now officially over, according to Twitter, that is.

While Katy removed Russell from her Twitter four months ago, E! News reports that Russell has just now chosen to unfollow Katy.

According to Daily Mail Online, Russell now only follows 77 people on his Twitter account. Sometime earlier in the week, Russell decided that Katy was no longer going to be one of those people.

The de-friending came around the same time that Katy was spotted getting comfortable with Robert Ackroyd, guitarist for Florence + the Machine. Daily Mail Online reports that the photos of the two supposedly sent Russell into a jealous rage. Other reports claim that Russell then wrote a long email admitting that he believes he gave up on his marriage with Katy too fast.

Aside from these reports, Russell seems to be keeping it cool. Daily Mail reports that he has a close relationship with Anouska De Georgiou and will be presenting the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards in June.

Whether Russell is in fact torn over Katy’s new romance or not, his removal of her from his Twitter marks an even further end to the relationship between the two.
