American Idol host Ryan Seacrest just made a huge purchase; a beautiful 9,200 square foot home which previously belonged to funny-gal and Mark Twain Humor award winner, Ellen DeGeneres.
TMZ first reported that Seacrest was on the prowl for a new home. The site confirms that DeGeneres sold her “epic” Beverly Hills estate to Seacrest, where he paid $10 million under the $49 million asking price.
The home, which sprawls across almost three acres, taking over one city block, includes a gym the size of a health club and includes three other homes which sit on the property.
Prior to DeGeneres, the home once belonged to Will and Grace producer Max Mutchnick. She purchased the home from him for $29 million, then bought out the remaining block which Seacrest now owns.
Seacrest is known for his journalistic powerhouse abilities as he has a handful of jobs. He owns the production company which films reality hit Keeping Up With the Kardashians, host of American Idol, he recently signed on as special correspondent of the Today show with Matt Lauer, and is also a regular host of E! News.
Ryan was recently named the 29th hardest working business man on Forbes Celebrity 100.
