Entertainment mogul Ryan Seacrest is officially the owner of a new Beverly Hills estate formerly owned by Ellen DeGeneres. The home was originally listed at $49 million, but Seacrest reportedly got it cheap for only $39 million.
Sources for TMZ confirm that the title of the estate was officially been transferred to the American Idol host and E! News editor on Wednesday. The site also confirmed that Seacrest paid $39 million for the home.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Seacrest was in the process of buying the home, which features a 9,200 square-foot main house and three guest houses. Both Seacrest and DeGeneres are represented by the same realtor, Kurt Rappaport.
Forbes reports that DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi listed the home last October. TMZ is reporting that they have since moved to a house owned by Will and Grace producer Max Mutchnick for $29 million.
As for Seacrest, he is looking for someone to buy his former home, a Los Angeles property listed at $11.985 million.
Seacrest, who also produces the Kardashian reality series and has a syndicated radio show, is among the busiest people in the entertainment business. Forbes listed him at number 29 on the magazine’s list of most powerful celebrities, having earned $59 million in the last 12 months.
