Salma Hayek’s husband and father to 4-year old daughter Valentina, François Henri-Pinault, is currently in a heated legal battle with model Linda Evangelista. She claims that Pinault insisted she have an abortion when pregnant with their now five year old child, Augustin.

The two are currently enduring their legal battle in Manhattan Family Court where Evangelista is reportedly asking for $46,000 a month in child support. Augustin was reportedly conceived while Hayek and Pinault were separated.

As for the allegations that Pinault wanted Evangelista to terminate the pregnancy, Pinault admitted that he was “not involved in the decision” but did say he would “recognize the baby” as his child.

Evangelista claims that her financial situation changed when her contract with L’Oreal came to an end. She claims that she needs financial support to pay for her sons nanny and security costs for chauffeurs.

However, E! News reports that when Pinault’s lawyer, David Aronson, brought up the statement that Evangelista was requesting the stated $46,000 a month in support, the model reportedly “moan aloud” saying that an amount has yet to be determined and that the stated amount was a broadcasted misunderstanding at the fault of a reporter.

Evangelista’s lawyer, William Beslow, said that while she is concerned about the money her child would receive, they will not take into account the amount that has been spent on Valentina, but it should be used as a “benchmark.”
