5. Bourne Legacy
This reboot of the popular Bourne series will surely appease action movie fans. Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass are off the project. However, Jeremy Renner and Tony Gilroy are not bad substitutes. Renner rose to fame in the award-winning Hurt Locker, and has gone on to action roles in movies such as Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Ben Affleck's The Town, and the recent blockbuster, The Avengers. Pair him with director Tony Gilroy, who has written the screenplay for all previous Bourne flicks and directed thrillers Duplicity and Michael Clayton, and there is much promise for this movie. Did I mention Edward Norton plays the second lead?

4. Brave
After the lack of critical success Cars 2 had, I'm rather anxious to see Pixar's next film. Brave looks to be filled with scenes that both parents and children can appreciate, as most Pixar films are. I have no doubt that Pixar will bounce back to high-praise, from fans and critics alike, in their newest film.

3. Moonrise Kingdom
Wes Anderson's films are always filled with whimsy, heart, and trademarked humor. He returns to live-action after his animated Fantastic Mr. Fox. Plus he has yet to make a bad film. Anderson has always been known for casting the same actors in many of this movies and Moonrise Kingdom is no exception. The film stars Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Harvey Keitel, Frances McDormand, and (as always) Jason Schwartzman. With a cast this good and Anderson's flawless record, this film is bound to be great.

2. Prometheus
Directed by highly famed Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator), this movie looks to be a great mixture between sci-fi, action, and horror; we all know this is Ridley Scott's strong point. There have been a number of chilling trailers and fascinating trailers thus far and I'm sure the movie will live up to those. The movie stars Guy Pearce, up-and-comer Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, and the always good Idris Elba. The movie is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated films of the summer; there is a good reason why.

1. The Dark Knight Rises
We have all heard of and most likely seen The Dark Knight, as it's the third highest grossing film of all time. Christopher Nolan has revamped this Batman franchise to great critical praise and box office success. His ability to write screenplays, as well as direct, makes him one of my favorite filmmakers. His stories keep us interested and on the edge of our seats until the final credits roll, all while developing great character backgrounds. As this movie is said to be the final in his Batman trilogy, I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that it will match, if not exceed all of its expectations. And, as Wes Anderson, Christopher Nolan has not failed his fans yet; all of his films are brilliant.
