Questions continue to surround the disappearance of a 20th Century Fox executive who vanished from a friend's home west of the San Fernando Valley ten days ago.
The latest news on Gavin Smith comes from the Los Angles Times. Smith, 57, who works in distribution at Fox, failed to pick up one of his sons for school, and was then reported missing by his family May 1. His eldest son, Evan Smith, told the Times his family was “devastated” by his father’s disappearance. "We’re praying and hoping for the best. It’s all in God’s hands.”
Business Insider said that Smith had not called in to work. They stated that Smith has worked on the distribution of some of Hollywood's biggest films: Avatar, Titanic and the Star Wars trilogy.
Suspicious circumstances cannot be ruled out in the mysterious disappearance, according to a Fox News report.
The Hollywood executive was last seen driving his Mercedes-Benz away from a friend's home more than a week ago. Authorities said that for now the disappearance remains classified as a missing persons case.
The Sheriffs have distributed fliers and are using the media to ask the public for help. Gavin Smith is 6-foot-6, weighs 210 pounds, has gray hair streaked with blond and has a goatee. He was last seen in his black 2000 Mercedes 420-E with California license plate 6EKT044. He also was wearing purple pants, which family said makes them believe he had no intention of going out the night he went missing. The website launched on his behalf is Find Gavin Smith.
