Ashlee Simpson talks Jessica, Maxwell, and her son being a 'big cousin'

Jessica Simpson is a new mom, and she's not the only one excited about the new baby in the family.

Jessica's younger sister Ashlee, who has a 3-year-old son with ex-husband Pete Wentz, says they are all enjoying the time they spend with Maxwell Drew, who was born May 1. She says Jessica has embraced motherhood and doesn't need mom advice from her.

"Jessica's got [motherhood] down," Ashlee told E! News. "She's doing good. Once you become a mother you got it down...it's fun to be around [Jessica and Maxwell]."

In fact, Ashlee is completely smitten with her new niece.

 "She is a doll. She's definitely the cutest thing in the whole world and is getting all the good, spoiled love," she  said. "I got her a Fendi dress."

While Ashlee is happy seeing her big sister as a mom and spoiling her new niece, she is also happy to see her son, Bronx, as a "big cousin." She says he acts just like her sister used to act when they were young.

"He's excited to teach [Maxwell] all his new things...little things you think you can do as a child. All the things my big sister taught me."
