Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are ‘bonding’ on ‘X Factor’

Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are the newest judges on X Factor and they are becoming close friends.

The “Criminal” singer, 30, and the “Give Your Heart a Break” singer, 19, have become the “gruesome twosome” on the show, according to Simon Cowell. He also playfully adds that Demi is “more annoying than ever” and Britney has “grown claws.”

According to Contactmusic, stand-in judge Louis Walsh told them about a game to make auditions more fun, and Demi and Britney are, indeed, having fun with it while judging. Their game is to come up with a secret word before each contestant and try to use it while giving critiques. They chose words like, "slinky," "punk rock," "caution,” "mountain," “tiger” and “umbrella.”

"Every time one of them said the word, they all started giggling like naughty school children,” said a source.

According to Us Weekly, Spears and Lovato don’t have a diva rivalry at the judging table and their friendship continues when they aren’t on the show.

"Britney and Demi are getting along great," said a source for the magazine. "Whenever they aren't filming, Demi and Britney are chatting and hanging out. . . They are seriously bonding big time. It's nice to see."

Fans will get to see Britney and Demi’s friendship and judging antics when season two of The X Factor premieres September 12 on Fox.
