Cobra Starship front man Gabe Saporta parties it up with My Name is Kay in '#1Nite' music video (Video)

Pop-rock band Cobra Starship released the music video for their latest single, “#1Nite,” on Friday. The video and song features rising Canadian singer, My Name is Kay. “#1Nite” is lifted from Cobra Starship's fourth studio album, Night Shades.

My Name is Kay expressed her excitement on Twitter for the video's premiere.

The music video opens with Cobra Starship front man Saporta sitting alone at a party with a light instrumental of “You Make Me Feel...,” Night Shades' hit single, playing in the background. My Name is Kay hits up Saporta in a text message to meet up. When the music for “#1Nite” starts, Saporta picks up Kay and the two hit the road for an evening adventure. In leisure wear, Saporta and Kay play a few games at an arcade and then have fun exploring a closed-off construction site. The trip leads the two to Las Vegas where they get kicked out of a casino, but end up in a raging club party. Cobra Starship keytarist Victoria Asher makes an appearance at the end of the music video. Asher is a waitress for a diner in which Kay and Saporta end up, the morning after their exciting night.

“#1Nite” is one of My Name is Kay's biggest collaborations. She also collaborated earlier this year with DJ Steve Aoki and Blaqstarr on “Control,” which coincidentally had a video premiere this week too. Kay is set to film a music video for her own single, “Strangers,” with rapper Pusha T.

Cobra Starship headlined Brazil's Pop Music Festival along with Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Clarkson, and Paris Hilton's DJ set yesterday. The concert took place in São Paulo. The group's latest album, Night Shades, was released in August 2011 and has peaked at No. 50 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
