One thing not to bring to an interview with David Letterman: a new tattoo.
Justin Bieber experienced the wrath of Dave when he appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman to promote his new album, Believe. In celebration for the debut, Bieber had “Believe” tattooed on the inside of his elbow, Us Weekly reveals.
Letterman asked the singer, “Oh my God, how many do you have?” Bieber, who has six tattoos replied, “Just a couple.” He reportedly added that this newest addition may not be his last. The 65-year-old host replied, “No, no it is…I mean, honestly. How does that help how you look to have a tattoo?" Bieber contested that he just released his album and that he “has to Believe.”
Letterman laughed off the moment, but pressed Bieber to “not go nuts” and get a mural like the “Sistine Chapel” to which Bieber replied, “I'm not going for the Sixteenth Chapel look."
Letterman, obviously with the last laugh quipped, “Canadian high school…”
Prior to his interview, Bieber performed a free concert in Mexico City in front of an estimated 300,000 fans. Bieber promoted his new album and also sang some of his older hits, including “Baby.”
