Emma Watson may be joining the cast of 'Noah'

By Meghan Giannotta,

The end of the Harry Potter films was certainly not the end of Emma Watson’s acting career.

Since the end of Potter, Watson has already landed herself a few notable roles. After her success in My Week With Marilyn, Watson landed another role as a bad girl in Sofia Cappola’s The Bling Ring. Word is now spreading that the actress may be up for yet another supporting part in an upcoming film.

According to Deadline New York, casting directors for Darren Aronofsky’s film Noah are discussing adding Watson to the cast. The film currently stars Russell Crowe as the Biblical ark builder. Watson has reportedly been asked to star as Ila, who develops a relationship with Noah’s son Shem in the film.

While news of Watson joining the cast of Noah has not yet been confirmed or denied, MTV News seems to think the actress may have been hinting to fans that she accepted the role through a recent Twitter post.

“Just added @DarrenAronofsky. I love his work. P.s. don’t be put off by his profile picture!” @EmWatson tweeted.

According to MTV, Aronofsky is seeking to start filming of Noah in July, with the potential release date of March of 2014.

Watson’s next film, Perks of Being a Wallflower should be released in September, followed by The Bling Ring next year.
