Hilary Duff is getting back to business just two months after welcoming her son.
It’s been five years since the 24-year-old former Disney star released an album. Her last studio album was 2007’s Dignity. Now that she has given birth to son Luca, she’s ready to work on and nurture another baby: a new album.
“Next week I’m taking meetings with different producers and writers and getting that process started again. I’m ready. I’m taking my time because I want it to be right,” she told People.
Duff’s past hits include “Come Clean” and “So Yesterday.” She says fans can expect that her new music will still have the same pop sound. She describes it as “pop-dance music that makes you feel good and sends a positive message.”
The first-time mom, who previously said she missed recording, creating and touring, hopes to put in hard work and have an album out by the end of the year. Music is her “main focus right now besides Luca.”
