Indie rock band Best Coast celebrate California in 'The Only Place' music video (Video)

By Lucas J Villa,
The duo run amuck in Los Angeles.

Best Coast, an indie rock band comprised of Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno, premiered the music video for the title track off their second album, The Only Place. The Los Angeles-based band really let their California pride fly high in the video as they partake in random shenanigans around the streets and beaches. The clip came out earlier this month through Spin Magazine.

Oh Bethany Cosentino...you make everyday feel like Friday #be... on Twitpic

Exclaim.ca described the music video for “The Only Place” as Best Coast's “love letter to California.” The online publication could not have been more right. The band drives down the coastal L.A. highway and hits the beaches and alleys. Cosentino wears a tourist-type “I Heart L.A.” shirt but gives it her own true twist when she adds, “but I hate the traffic.”. Best Coast leaves their mark throughout L.A. writing “Best Coast was here” with refrigerator magnets and, in another instance, with mustard and ketchup on In-N-Out-styled hamburgers. Cosentino also cruises with California's flag and rides a bike with fireworks attached to the back. The duo definitely had fun in this music video that perfectly encompasses the song's California love message.

The Only Place album came out last month and peaked at number 24 on Billboard's albums chart. Best Coast is currently on tour supporting this latest record.
